About Fresno Junk Haulers — A Local Crew, Not a Franchise
Jeremy Bowers spent sixteen years in the trades before a spinal injury ended that career. Fresno Junk Haulers is what he built next, and he still runs every job himself.
The story
Sixteen Years in the Trades, Then a Truck
Jeremy Bowers worked construction for sixteen years. That ended with a spinal injury — the kind that does not stop you working but does stop you doing that particular work, day after day, for another two decades. The office job that followed lasted about as long as office jobs usually last for people who have spent their life outdoors.
Fresno Junk Haulers started in 2023 out of that gap. Junk removal used everything the trade had taught him — how a building is put together, how to get something heavy down a stairwell without damaging either, why a contractor cares more about the date than the price — without the parts his back would no longer tolerate.
What that background actually changes is the conversation. A contractor does not have to explain why a site clear has to happen Wednesday rather than sometime that week. A homeowner with a 1930s Kingsburg bathroom coming out gets told it is a weight job before the quote, not after. And when something genuinely needs a licensed abatement contractor or an electrician first, that gets said plainly rather than worked around.
The business has stayed deliberately small. One truck, one trailer, the owner and usually one other person. That is a real constraint — a day carrying three jobs cannot absorb a fourth — but it is also the reason the phone gets answered and the reason the person who quoted your job is the person standing in your garage.

How we work
Four Things That Do Not Change From Job to Job
These are the commitments the reviews keep describing, written down.
One person, start to finish
The owner answers the phone, gives the quote and loads the truck. Nothing gets lost between a dispatcher and a crew who have never seen the address.
The price does not move
Quoted flat on volume before anything is lifted, with labor and disposal fees inside the number. It only changes if you add to the pile.
Donation and recycling first
Usable furniture goes to a donation center, metal to a scrap recycler, green waste to composting. Only what is genuinely waste reaches a transfer station.
We say what we cannot do
Asbestos, structural demolition, gas disconnects and biohazard remediation all need someone licensed. We name the trade you need rather than taking the job.
The process
What Booking Us Actually Looks Like
-
Call or send the form
Tell us what you need gone and roughly where it sits. A photo helps but is not required. Most calls are answered live during working hours; anything that comes in after hours gets a callback first thing.
-
Get a firm price on site
We look at the actual load before quoting. The number you hear covers labor, hauling and disposal fees, and it does not move once the truck is loaded unless you add to the pile.
-
We do the lifting
Nothing needs to be dragged to the curb. We carry it out of the garage, down the stairs or out of the back yard, and we protect doorways and floors on the way through.
-
Sweep up and haul off
The area gets swept before we leave. Anything reusable goes to a donation center or a recycler; the rest goes to a licensed transfer station, not a roadside.
Talk to the person who will actually do the job.
No call center, no quote from a photo you have to accept sight unseen. Call and you get Jeremy.

FAQ
About the Business — Questions
Who owns Fresno Junk Haulers?
Jeremy Bowers. He started the business in Fresno in 2023 after sixteen years in the construction trades, and he still runs every job personally. That is why so many of the Google reviews mention him by name rather than mentioning a company.
How big is the team?
Small, deliberately. Jeremy plus an associate on most jobs, and more people brought in when a job needs them. It is the reason the phone gets answered and the reason a quote and the arrival are the same person — and it is also why we would rather turn down a date than take one we cannot hold.
Are you insured?
Yes, and a certificate of insurance can be issued for commercial work where a building or property manager requires one naming their entity. Ask at quote stage so it is in place ahead of the access date rather than being chased on the morning.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. A good share of our work is across the Valley's agricultural communities, and calls in Spanish are no problem at all — for the quote, the job and anything that comes up in between.
Why junk removal specifically?
A spinal injury ended a construction career, and an office job did not stick. Junk removal used the same trade knowledge — how buildings are put together, how to get something heavy out of a difficult space, what a contractor's schedule actually needs — without the parts of construction the injury ruled out.
