Commercial Store Clean Outs in Fresno, CA — Retail Units Emptied and Handed Back
Fixtures, shelving, stock and signage stripped out after close so the unit is broom-clean and ready to hand back or refit.
Overview
Store & Retail Cleanouts Done Properly in Fresno, CA
A retail cleanout runs against a hard date. The lease ends on the last of the month, the landlord's walkthrough is booked, and the difference between handing back a broom-clean unit and handing back one with the gondola shelving still in it is a deduction from the deposit. Retail is also the one sector where the work genuinely cannot happen during opening hours, because a half-stripped shop cannot trade.
So the work happens after close, or overnight, or in the window between one tenant leaving and the next taking possession. Shelving and gondolas come out, wall fixtures come off, the counter and back-of-house go, signage comes down, and remaining stock is either removed, donated or set aside depending on what you want done with it. Anything anchored gets unbolted and the fixings dealt with rather than left proud of the wall.
The same pattern covers restaurants and salons, where there is usually more fixed equipment and more to disconnect. Where something needs a licensed trade to disconnect first — gas, refrigeration lines, hard-wired equipment — we will say so rather than pulling it and hoping. Everything downstream of that is us.

When to call
When a Retail Clear-Out Needs Booking
The lease ends this month and the landlord's walkthrough is already in the diary.
A store is closing and the fixtures have to go before the keys are handed back.
A refit starts on a fixed date and the old fittings are still bolted to the walls.
A unit has sat empty since the last tenant left and nobody removed their fittings.
Stock from a closed line is occupying a storeroom the business needs back.
A franchise handover requires the space returned to shell condition.
Step by step
How a Store Cleanout Is Run
-
Walkthrough against the handover date
We walk the unit, note what is anchored, what needs a licensed disconnect first, and what the landlord's handover standard actually requires. The quote follows in writing.
-
Scheduled after close
Most retail strip-outs run overnight or across the days between trading ending and handover. Center management, dock access and after-hours entry are arranged in advance.
-
Stripped in sequence
Stock first, then loose fixtures, then anchored fittings, then signage. Fixings come out and wall damage is left in a state the landlord will accept rather than patched over badly.
-
Swept and photographed
The unit is swept and photographed on completion, so you have dated evidence of the condition it was handed back in. Disposal receipts come with the invoice.
Pricing
Retail Cleanout Pricing in Fresno
Quoted per unit after a walkthrough, because square footage alone does not tell you how much is bolted down. Overnight scheduling is included rather than surcharged.
The quote covers everything
Labor, the truck, the drive and the dump fee are all inside the number you are given. There is no separate disposal charge added at the end.
Priced by volume, not by the hour
What you pay depends on how much space the load takes in the trailer. A quick job and a slow one cost the same if the pile is the same size.
The price is fixed before we load
You hear the number while everything is still on the ground. It only changes if you decide to add to the pile.
Typical price range
- Small retail unit, under 1,500 sq ft
- $700 – $1,600
- Mid-size store, 1,500 – 5,000 sq ft
- $1,600 – $4,000
- Large store or restaurant
- Quoted per job
- Fixture-only removal
- $450 – $1,200
Boutique, salon or service unit. Fixtures, stock and signage.
Full gondola runs, back-of-house and storeroom.
Walkthrough required. Often staged across several nights.
Where stock has already gone and only the fittings remain.
Prices may vary depending on the condition of the item.
Ranges are typical for the Fresno area and are here to set expectations, not to serve as a quote. Access, stairs, weight and how far the load has to be carried all move the number. Call and you will get a real one.

Why us
The Handover Date Is the Only Deadline That Matters
Everything about a store cleanout is downstream of one date. A clear that finishes a day late does not merely inconvenience you — it can mean an extra month's rent, a deposit deduction, or a delayed refit that pushes an opening. That is why we quote against your handover date rather than against a preferred window, and why we would rather decline a job than accept a date we are not confident of holding.
It is also why the completion photos matter. A dated set of images of an empty, swept unit is the simplest protection against a disagreement about condition at walkthrough, and it costs nothing to produce. Property managers and franchise operators tend to ask for it once and then expect it every time, which is fair.
You deal with the owner
Same person on the phone, on the quote and on the truck. Nothing gets lost between a dispatcher and a crew.
Flat price before we load
Quoted on volume, with labor and dump fees inside the number. No hourly clock running while we work.
Same-day when we have the slot
Call in the morning and there is a real chance it is gone by afternoon. Reviews mention under-30-minute arrivals.
Donated and recycled first
Usable furniture goes to a donation center, metal goes to a recycler, and only what is genuinely waste ends up at a transfer station.

FAQ
Store & Retail Cleanouts in Fresno — Common Questions
Can the cleanout happen overnight so we can trade until the end?
Yes, and for retail that is usually the right answer. Trading to the last day and stripping out overnight protects the final week of revenue. Center management access, dock booking and after-hours entry get arranged before the night rather than negotiated on it.
Do you remove shelving and fixtures that are bolted to the walls or floor?
Yes. Gondola runs, wall standards, slatwall and anchored display cases all get unbolted rather than cut away, and the fixings come out with them. Walls are left in a condition a landlord will accept — if a handover requires patching and painting beyond that, tell us and we will factor it in or tell you it is a separate trade.
What happens to stock that is still in the unit?
Your call, and it is worth deciding before the night rather than during it. Sellable stock can be set aside for you to collect, usable goods can go to a local donation center, and damaged or unsellable lines get disposed of. If donation matters for a write-off, say so and we will get the receipt.
Can you clear out a restaurant or a salon?
Yes, with one sequencing caveat. Anything connected to gas, water, refrigeration lines or hard wiring has to be disconnected by a licensed trade first. Once that is done, the equipment, the fit-out, the seating and the back-of-house are all ours. We can schedule our clear to follow immediately after the disconnect.
Can you handle several locations for a chain closure?
Yes. Multi-site closures get scheduled as a program with one point of contact, consistent documentation across every unit, and per-site invoicing so the cost lands against the right location. It works considerably better than each store manager sourcing a local hauler independently.
How much notice do you need before a handover?
For a small unit, a few days is usually enough. For a mid-size store, a week gives room to stage it properly. For a large store or a restaurant, more — mostly because of the licensed disconnects that have to happen first. Call as soon as the handover date is fixed, even if you cannot confirm yet; holding a date is easy, compressing a job is not.
