Sheds, decks, patio covers, fences, slabs and interior strip-outs taken down and carted off by the same crew, on the same visit.
Overview
Residential Demolition Done Properly in Fresno, CA
Small demolition is a two-part problem that usually gets quoted as one part. Taking a shed apart is straightforward. Getting eight hundred pounds of splintered timber, rusted roofing and a broken slab off the property is the bit that turns a Saturday into a fortnight of trips, and it is where most self-managed demo projects stall.
We do both halves in one visit. The structure comes down, the material goes straight into the trailer, and the footprint is raked flat before we leave. A rotten deck in Sunnyside, a collapsing shed behind a Fig Garden rental, a chain-link fence that has been leaning since the last storm, a patio slab that has to go before the new hardscaping — it is the same job each time and it finishes the same day for anything under a certain size.
We are set up for detached structures, hardscape and interior strip-outs. That means sheds, decks, patio covers, pergolas, fencing, concrete slabs, above-ground pools, hot tubs, and interior demo down to the studs. What it does not mean is a whole house or anything structural — that is a licensed demolition contractor's work, and we will say so rather than take the job.
What we tear down and take away
Every one of these includes the haul-off. You are not left with a flat pile where a structure used to be and a second problem to solve.
- Garden and storage sheds
- Wood decks, stairs and railings
- Patio covers and pergolas
- Wood, chain-link and vinyl fencing
- Concrete slabs, walkways and driveways
- Above-ground pools and hot tubs
- Interior strip-out to the studs
- Site raked flat and swept after

When to call
When a Structure Has Reached the End
The shed roof has failed and the contents are now getting wet every winter.
Deck boards flex underfoot and the joists have gone soft where they meet the ledger.
A fence is leaning far enough that the neighbor has mentioned it twice.
There is a slab in the way of landscaping that was quoted assuming it was already gone.
An above-ground pool has not been filled in two summers and is now a mosquito problem.
A hot tub stopped working, and the quote to repair it came in higher than the tub is worth.
Step by step
How a Small Demolition Job Runs
-
We look at it in person
Small demo is difficult to quote from a photo. What matters is size, material, what it is attached to and how the debris gets from the back yard to the trailer. The visit is free.
-
Utilities and boundaries checked
Before anything comes down we confirm nothing live runs through it and, on fencing, where the property line actually sits. That is a five-minute conversation that prevents a very expensive afternoon.
-
Down and straight into the trailer
The structure is dismantled and loaded as it comes apart, rather than piled and handled twice. Anything salvageable — decent redwood, usable metal roofing — gets set aside if you want it kept.
-
Footprint raked and swept
Nails, screws and fragments get picked up, and the ground is left level and ready for whatever comes next. On a slab removal that means graded soil, not a crater.
Pricing
Residential Demolition Pricing in Fresno
Demolition is quoted on size, material and access, and the price always includes hauling the debris away. These are the ranges most Fresno-area jobs fall into.
The quote covers everything
Labor, the truck, the drive and the dump fee are all inside the number you are given. There is no separate disposal charge added at the end.
Priced by volume, not by the hour
What you pay depends on how much space the load takes in the trailer. A quick job and a slow one cost the same if the pile is the same size.
The price is fixed before we load
You hear the number while everything is still on the ground. It only changes if you decide to add to the pile.
Typical price range
- Garden shed, up to 10x12
- $400 – $850
- Deck or patio cover
- $650 – $1,600
- Fencing, per linear foot
- $8 – $18
- Concrete slab removal
- $3 – $8 per sq ft
Timber sheds sit at the lower end; metal with a slab runs higher.
Depends on square footage, height and whether it is attached to the house.
Concrete-set posts add to it. Chain-link is cheaper than timber.
Thickness, rebar and how far it has to be carried all move the number.
Prices may vary depending on the condition of the item.
Ranges are typical for the Fresno area and are here to set expectations, not to serve as a quote. Access, stairs, weight and how far the load has to be carried all move the number. Call and you will get a real one.

Why us
One Crew for the Tear-Down and the Haul-Off
The usual way this goes wrong is hiring two outfits. A handyman takes the deck apart and leaves, and the pile sits in the side yard for three weeks while you find someone to remove it — by which point it has been rained on, the neighbors have noticed, and the second quote is higher because wet timber weighs more.
Booking it as one job avoids all of that. The debris never touches the ground twice, the site is clear the same day, and there is one number and one person accountable for the finished result. With sixteen years of trade experience behind the tools, we also know when to stop: if a job turns out to need a licensed demolition contractor, we say so before quoting rather than after starting.
You deal with the owner
Same person on the phone, on the quote and on the truck. Nothing gets lost between a dispatcher and a crew.
Flat price before we load
Quoted on volume, with labor and dump fees inside the number. No hourly clock running while we work.
Same-day when we have the slot
Call in the morning and there is a real chance it is gone by afternoon. Reviews mention under-30-minute arrivals.
Donated and recycled first
Usable furniture goes to a donation center, metal goes to a recycler, and only what is genuinely waste ends up at a transfer station.

FAQ
Residential Demolition in Fresno — Common Questions
Do I need a permit to demolish a shed or deck in Fresno?
Usually not for a small detached structure, but it depends on size and whether it was permitted when built. Fresno and Clovis both set thresholds where a demolition permit becomes necessary, and anything attached to the house is more likely to need one. Check with your local building department before booking — and if the answer is that a permit is needed, that is generally a sign the job belongs with a licensed demolition contractor.
Can a shed or deck come down and be gone in one day?
For most residential-scale structures, yes. A standard garden shed or a modest deck is a single-day job including the haul-off. Larger decks, concrete slabs and anything with difficult access can run into a second day, and we will tell you which it is when we quote rather than discovering it at four in the afternoon.
Do you remove concrete slabs and driveways?
Yes. Slab removal is priced per square foot, typically $3 to $8, with thickness, rebar and carry distance all affecting it. Concrete is heavy enough that a modest patio can be a full weight ticket, so we quote it on weight rather than the apparent size of the pile. The ground gets graded flat afterwards rather than left as a crater. Prices may vary depending on the condition of the item.
Can you demolish a whole house or a garage?
No, and we will tell you that straight away. Whole-structure demolition needs a licensed demolition contractor, a permit, utility disconnections signed off by the providers, and usually an asbestos survey first. What we do is everything below that line — sheds, decks, fences, patio covers, hardscape and interior strip-outs.
Can you take out a hot tub or an above-ground pool?
Both are routine. Hot tubs get cut down on site because a full-size spa will not fit through a side gate intact, and the shell, frame and cover all leave in the same load. Above-ground pools need draining first — you handle the water, we handle everything solid. Deck surrounds and equipment pads can go at the same time.
Can I keep any of the material?
Yes, just say so when we quote. Sound redwood decking, usable fence panels, metal roofing and anything with resale or reuse value can be set aside and stacked where you want it. It occasionally reduces the price slightly, since it is less material going over the scales.
